Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MyTransferHub, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Service Description

MyTransferHub provides online mock examinations and educational resources for SEAG transfer exam preparation, available as an ongoing subscription or as one-off Practice Packs (see Section 6). The Service may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other automated technologies to provide personalised learning experiences, study recommendations, educational support, and platform functionality, including the StudyBuddy and Parent Advisor chat features described further in our Privacy Policy. AI-generated content and recommendations are automated and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete; they are intended to support, not replace, human judgment and instruction. The Service also includes optional gamification features (coins, XP, achievements, and a leaderboard) to help motivate practice. Leaderboard participation uses an anonymous display name by default, never your child's real name unless you choose to set one, and you can opt out of the leaderboard entirely from Profile Settings.

3. User Accounts

MyTransferHub accounts are created and held by a parent or guardian, who registers on behalf of their child and enters the child's details to personalise the child's practice. The child does not hold separate login credentials.

  • The registering parent or guardian must provide accurate account information and is the contracting party under these Terms
  • By registering, the parent or guardian confirms they are an adult with authority to consent to their child's use of the Service
  • Account holders are responsible for maintaining account security, including their password and any optional Parent PIN used to restrict access to parent-only areas (such as billing and subscription management) when the account is shared with a child
  • One account per family/household
  • Email preferences, such as study reminders and weekly progress reports, can be managed at any time from Profile Settings

4. Free Access, Trials and Subscription Terms

Every account can try the Service before paying anything, in two distinct ways:

  • Free tier: without providing any payment details, every account can access a limited number of free mock exams and free practice sessions (the current limits are shown in the app and may be adjusted by us from time to time)
  • Paid plan free trial: paid plans may separately include a free trial for eligible new subscribers, requiring payment details on file (currently 7 days on active plans); trial length, where offered, is shown before you subscribe. To keep the trial fair for everyone, exams and practice sessions started during the trial are each subject to a reasonable usage limit, set generously to allow genuine use and only intended to catch clear misuse; if you reach a limit, you can start paying immediately from your Subscription page to remove it, or simply wait for the trial to end. Once the trial ends and billing begins, these limits no longer apply

The free tier and any paid plan trial are intended for genuine, personal use by one household evaluating the Service. If you have already used any part of the free tier, or previously held a free trial, we may treat you as ineligible for a further free trial on that or a related account. We reserve the right to withhold, limit, or revoke free-tier or trial access, at our reasonable discretion, from accounts we believe are being used to obtain repeated or excessive free access – see Section 8 (Acceptable Use) and Section 9 (Suspension and Termination).

  • After any trial, the selected plan renews automatically at the price you agreed to at checkout unless cancelled
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • The price you pay is fixed for as long as your subscription continues without a gap. If we change the advertised price of a plan, this applies only to new subscribers from that point onward – existing subscribers keep their current price unless they cancel and later re-subscribe at the then-current price
  • From time to time we may offer discount or promotional codes redeemable at checkout, or present a retention offer if you start to cancel. These offers are entirely optional, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and have no cash value
  • See Section 7 for our refund policy

5. Referral Programme

Some accounts may be offered a referral code to share with other parents. If a referred parent goes on to pay for a subscription, both accounts may receive free days as a reward, at the level currently configured for the programme.

  • Referral rewards apply only to genuine, previously unregistered users – self-referrals and duplicate accounts are not eligible
  • A referral is only rewarded once the referred user's first payment succeeds
  • We may void a pending referral that appears to abuse or circumvent the intent of the programme
  • The referral programme is offered at our discretion and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time; this will not affect rewards already credited to your account

6. Practice Packs

Practice Packs are a one-off purchase of mock exams with marking schemes, delivered as PDF documents by email. The number of exams included is shown against each pack size available at checkout. No account or subscription is required to buy a Practice Pack.

  • Practice Packs are licensed for the purchaser's own household use and are not for resale or redistribution
  • We are not responsible for non-delivery caused by an incorrect email address supplied at checkout

7. Refunds

Subscriptions: because eligible new subscribers get a free trial before any charge is made, subscription payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time to stop future billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period as set out in Section 4.

Practice Packs: because Practice Packs are digital content delivered immediately by email, purchases are non-refundable once the PDFs have been sent. If payment was taken but delivery failed, contact us and we will either resend your Practice Pack or issue a refund.

8. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Share account credentials with others
  • Copy or distribute exam content, including Practice Pack PDFs
  • Attempt to circumvent access restrictions, usage limits, or rate limits we apply to the Service
  • Create multiple accounts, or use false, temporary, or disposable details, to obtain repeated or excessive free-tier access or free trials beyond what is offered to a genuine single household
  • Misuse the referral programme or any discount/promotional code, for example by creating duplicate accounts to claim rewards
  • Manipulate or attempt to falsify gamification progress, coins, or leaderboard standing
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service, or make excessive or disproportionate use of any feature (including AI features such as StudyBuddy and Parent Advisor) beyond fair, personal use consistent with normal study by one household
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

We apply reasonable technical limits to some features (for example, daily message caps on AI chat features) to keep the Service fair and available to all users. These limits may change without notice.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account's access to the Service, including free-tier or free trial access, at our reasonable discretion, where we believe an account has breached these Terms or is being used excessively, fraudulently, or abusively – including but not limited to abuse of free trials, the free tier, the referral programme, or discount/promotional codes, or use inconsistent with genuine personal, single-household study.

  • Where practical, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before restricting an account
  • We may act immediately and without notice where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or a breach that could cause harm to the Service or other users
  • Suspension or termination for breach of these Terms does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription or Practice Pack fees already paid (see Section 7)
  • You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us; this does not affect any fees already incurred

10. Intellectual Property

All content, including questions, explanations, Practice Pack PDFs, and software, is owned by MyTransferHub and protected by copyright law.

11. Limitation of Liability

MyTransferHub is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
