This is a scripted example so you always see exactly how StudyBuddy behaves – including when a child tries to ask for the answer outright.

A Question They Got Wrong

Which sentence is punctuated correctly?

  • AThe dogs bone was buried in the garden. ← their answer
  • BThe dog's bone was buried in the garden. ← correct answer
  • CThe dogs' bone was buried in the garden.
  • DThe dog bone, was buried in the garden.

After the exam is marked, StudyBuddy's Review Wizard walks through every question your child got wrong – one at a time, at their own pace.

Unlike during the exam itself, the answer is already marked by this point – so StudyBuddy explains it directly and walks through the reasoning, rather than just hinting.

What is Parent Advisor Our parents love it 😊

A plain-English summary for parents of how your child is progressing, their weak areas, and how they're pacing against their adaptive study plan. It speaks to you, not your child, and only ever draws on your own child's real exam history and study plan.

These are scripted example answers so you can see the tone and level of detail – your Parent Advisor always answers from your own child's real exam history.

How This Works

It cannot see the answer during the exam

While your child is sitting the exam, the correct answer, mark scheme, and explanation are never sent to StudyBuddy in the first place – it isn't a rule we ask it to follow, it's information it's never given. There's nothing for it to let slip, even if a child asks directly. Once the exam is marked, this changes on purpose: StudyBuddy's Review Wizard is told the correct answer and explanation, so it can act as a tutor and walk your child through exactly what they got wrong and why – there's nothing left to protect once the exam is already scored.

It only knows the question on screen

StudyBuddy only ever discusses the single question your child is working on right now. It can see a summary of their accuracy on other topics, to tailor a hint, but it never shows or talks about other exam content, and there's no open-ended conversation.

Optional, off by default

StudyBuddy is never switched on automatically. Your child chooses it, exam by exam, so it's never a surprise – and every exam works perfectly well without it.

Two switches, full control

Parents are always in control: Profile Settings has a separate switch for in-exam hints and for the Review Wizard's after-exam chat, so you can turn either one off - or both - at any time.
